But a classic sign of a turbo seal going south is blue smoke when you let off the throttle. As for the can having anything to do with it, well, I don't understand how that is possible. The whole point of the catch can is to not have those oily fumes recirculated, but to vent them instead. Maybe I'm confused about something here and if so please enlighten me. Try this, rev the engine up to only about 3000 rpm and let off the gas. If there is a seal problem you will get the smoke when you let off. As for seeing any change in your oil level, well the amount that seeps through is very small. It does not take but a few drops of oil to cause quit a bit of smoke, so you really would not notice any level change. Maybe over the course of a few weeks, but not just a few days. As for the car running good, well this really would not effect that. It's not as if the seals are completely blown out to were the turbos are dragging. Pete I'm not trying to rag on you, but thanks to TEC I have had more than my share of seal problems and I know the symptoms.
